Graphene nanoplatelets (thickness 1–15 nm, lateral size 1–25 µm) are graded by layer thickness and lateral flake size, not by US mesh/sieve number — even where the lateral size approaches the tens-of-micron range, platelets this thin pass through any sieve regardless of their width. Thickness and lateral size are specified directly in nanometers/microns, as in the table above. For reference, here is how nanometers relate to microns and millimetres:
