Material Overview
Ni-Cr is a nickel-chromium alloy with excellent heat resistance, maintaining mechanical strength and structural stability at elevated temperatures. Chromium forms a protective Cr₂O₃ oxide film that suppresses oxidation and scaling, giving stable performance in high-temperature gases, combustion environments, and certain chemical atmospheres. Its high, stable electrical resistance suits heating-element applications, and the nickel base allows good forming and welding characteristics.
